We just stepped into 2016 and Kanye West is already showing us Yeezus behavior. After successfully paving his way through the sneaker world with his Adidas Yeezy Boots, West is indulging his success and the fact that his brand jumped over the famous Jumpman. On his most recent track titled “Facts,” West makes it clear with swank lyrics that he is at the top of his game.

“Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy, this is pure luxury I give ’em grey poupon on a DJ Mustard, ah! If you ain’t poppin’ shit then why you rap for? Haas? Plus Kimoji just shut down the app store, uh!And we made a million a minute, we made a million a minute (We did)Yeah, we made a million a minute, we made a million a minute, ah!”

As West spits over the beat, that was inspired from “Jumpman” off of Futures and Drakes album, West  takes shots at Nike and Boasts for losing the race against Adidas Yeezy Boots.

“Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy, I feel so accomplished ,I done talked a lot of shit but I just did the numbers
Herzog and Adidas, man you know they love it. If Nike ain’t have Drizzy, man they wouldn’t have nothin’, woo! If Nike ain’t have Don C, man they wouldn’t have nothin’, ooh! But I’m all for the family, tell ’em get your money Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy, they line up for days. Nike out here bad, they can’t give shit away. I stuck to my roots, I’m like Jimmy Fallon. I ain’t dropped the album but the shoes went platinum woo!”

It was clear, the musical genius and fashion icon cared less about dropping celebrity names like Bill Cosby and Steve Harvey in the mix as he spit his lyrics.

After West was on Sway in the Morning in 2013 and made national headlines throughout the Hip Hop community, a majority of us watching thought he was a little over the top. Three years later West has proven those who doubted him wrong. He deserves every right to state facts.
